My parents taught me to say grace over every meal. So I am conscious at least three times a day of God’s provision.
But there is something even more essential than my daily bread.
The human body can go for weeks without food, but we cannot live even ten minutes without oxygen.
Most of us take breathing for granted – until we get an upper respiratory infection, or are trapped in a burning building, or come close to drowning. Then breathing is very precious.
The reality is that every breath I take is a result of His mercy and grace.
Every breath I take is a result of God breathing life into Adam, the very first man.
What would my life look like, if with every breath I remind myself of his grace toward me?
